The Blue Biotech Roadshow to Azores 2023 is an initiative promoted by BlueBio Alliance and Blue Azores, meant to promote, divulge and celebrate the blue biotech startups, projects, and value chains set up in the Azores.
The first event happened on the 21st April in Lagoa, São Miguel, followed by an event in Horta, Faial on the 2nd June, and another one on the 6th June in Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira.
The initiative finished with a Pitch Fest day, taking place in Lagoa, São Miguel on the 30th June. This event was meant to celebrate the ever growing biotechnology and blue innovation in the Azores, aiming to highlight and promote the high quality work being developed in the archipelago in recent years. This included a day of talks, networking moments, and pitch presentations from 12 different startups and R&D projects based in the Azores.
The second half of the Roadshow initiative will now proceed to its mentorship phase, in order to accompany the startups and projects with mentorship sessions to help them strive towards a better blue biotechnology.
