open call for blue economy project promoters

About the I3-4-BLUE-GROWTH open call for blue economy project promoters

We are looking for SMEs (project promoters) with strong business cases for interregional innovation investments, which would strengthen a sustainable and smart blue economy sector for less developed regions targeted by the project, namely from Spain, Poland, Croatia, and Portugal.

For this open call, we are looking for SMEs that are active in the following value chains:

 ● sustainable seafood, aquaculture, and valorisation of blue resources;
 ● maritime renewable energy and decarbonisation of the maritime sector.

With this project, we will bring together innovative SMEs and startups, as well as clusters, business hubs, universities, research institutes, and innovation and technology transfer entities to promote interregional investment opportunities within Europe. We do this by fostering collaboration among these diverse groups.

The project focuses on implementing interregional innovation projects, supporting technological advancements, boosting economic growth, and creating sustainable solutions within the targeted value chains.

Why become a project promoter?

  1. Funding Opportunities:

    Getting access and guidance to different EU funding instruments, such as InvestEU, the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the Innovation Fund, or other private funds that can help regions support the necessary investment to deploy these technologies.

  2. Networking and Collaboration:

    Connect with leading European innovators through ecosystem visits to Finland, cross-regional networking in France, and a peer-to-peer roadshow to the Netherlands.

  3. Build Skills and Readiness:

    Enhance your technical, business, and investment capabilities through our targeted capacity-building initiatives.

  4. Discover Synergies:

    Explore and identify complementary strengths and opportunities for partnerships within value chains.

  5. Tailored Support:

    Receive customised support and consultation to develop joint concepts and investment cases, ensuring your projects are well-prepared for success.
