REGIONAL POLICY DIALOGUE
The Regional Policy Dialogue Roundtable Series, promoted by I3-4-BLUE-GROWTH, brought together invited experts to exchange knowledge and share best practices in policy and regulatory solutions aimed at boosting interregional innovation and investment projects in the blue economy sector at the European level. Three sessions were organized, targeting project value chains: 1- Sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, and the valorisation of blue resources; 2 – Renewable marine energy and maritime decarbonisation.
The sessions focused on knowledge transfer and the dissemination of successful practices. All sessions were held online and are publicly available.
Regional Policy Dialogue 1:
Simplify and harmonize legislation and regulations in the EU (value chain #1).
Regional Policy Dialogue 2:
Policy and stakeholder engagement tools to increase societal awareness and acceptance of blue technologies (value chain #2).
Regional Policy Dialogue 3:
To increase and improve funding mechanisms to support startups and SMEs developing new business models and value chains especially in the phases of proof of concept and upscaling including transnational investment (value chain #1 and #2).
